Center for Jewish History, New York City, NY, USA - January 28, 2024

On January 28, 2024, ISCA partnered with the Center for Jewish History to hold the "Addressing Antisemitism: Contemporary Challenges" symposium.

These five sessions brought together many of this generation’s most prominent scholars to discuss definitions and debates about antisemitism, recent developments in the United States, Europe, and Israel, how technology is used to disseminate hate speech, and the best ways to respond to the rising threats of today’s anti-Jewish hostility.

Public Keynote Address by David Harris

"Anti-Zionism, Antisemitism, and the Dynamics of Delegitimization"
April 2-6, 2016, Indiana University Bloomington

This conference explored the thinking that informs contemporary anti-Zionism and attempted to clarify the ties such thinking may have with antisemitism and broader ideological, political, and cultural currents of thought.

Deciphering the ‘New’ Antisemitism
April 5-9, 2014

Ira Forman, Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, U. S. State Department, spoke to participants of the conference. They keynote lecture was given by Pascal Bruckner on “Islamophobia and Antisemitism: The Inversion of the Debt.”

Resurgent Antisemitism: Global Perspectives
April 3-5, 2011

Acts of antisemitic hatred—here or everywhere in the world—must be a matter of deep concern to all people because criminal acts of hatred against any group threaten the freedom of all people. In a diverse and increasingly global society, we absolutely depend on tolerance and respect for all people. We cannot afford to ignore the lessons drawn from serious and informed study of present-day antisemitism and its deep connections with centuries-old traditions of suspicion and hatred. Professor Rosenfeld and the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism are performing an invaluable service through their international leadership in this timely study.
