Zachary R. Goldsmith

Zachary R. Goldsmith is an Affiliate Research Scholar at the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism. He studies political extremism and ideologies, and his current work focuses on the ideological antecedents of contemporary antisemitism on the political left. He is the author of Fanaticism: A Political Philosophical History (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2022). His writing has also appeared in NBC News, The Forward, JNS, and other venues. He earned a BA from the University of Michigan and a PhD from Indiana University, both in political science.
