Yull Edelsteiin

I would also like to express my appreciation to Indiana University for nurturing one of the world's leading research institutes for the study of antisemitism. At a time when antisemitism and anti-Zionism are on the upsurge, the courses, conferences, and publications of Indiana's Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism make a uniquely important contribution to higher education.

Deciphering the ‘New’ Antisemitism
April 5-9, 2014

Ira Forman, Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, U. S. State Department, spoke to participants of the conference. They keynote lecture was given by Pascal Bruckner on “Islamophobia and Antisemitism: The Inversion of the Debt.”

Michael McRobbie

Acts of antisemitic hatred—here or everywhere in the world—must be a matter of deep concern to all people because criminal acts of hatred against any group threaten the freedom of all people. In a diverse and increasingly global society, we absolutely depend on tolerance and respect for all people. We cannot afford to ignore the lessons drawn from serious and informed study of present-day antisemitism and its deep connections with centuries-old traditions of suspicion and hatred. Professor Rosenfeld and the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism are performing an invaluable service through their international leadership in this timely study.

Michael A. McRobbie, President, Indiana University, April 2011
