In these workshops, led by IU Professors Gunther Jikeli and Damir Cavar, participants will learn how to recognize, monitor, and track antisemitic messages on social media (specifically Twitter). Participants will be placed into teams and asked to work together on their own scripts and annotations. The top three teams will be awarded gift cards worth $500, $300, and $200.
The three workshops will be:
- What is antisemitism? What is AI? Why do we need AI to observe and combat antisemitism?
- How to annotate Tweets?
- How to use AI to work with an annotated corpus?
They will take place at 11 a.m. CT Sunday, May 17th, Sunday, May 24rd, and Sunday, May 31st. The seminars will last approximately two hours each.
Because of the nature of this program, you will need access to a computer and an internet connection. All workshops will be conducted over Zoom.
